Coronavirus Update from India: Confirmed cases crosses 16,000 mark and over 519 people died so far

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of confirmed cases reached 16,116 with over 519 deaths so far. In the past 24 hours 1,324 new cases and 31 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.

The recovery rate is improving in the country and more 2,301 people recovered from the deadly Covid-19 disease.

The Government data releases show that over 16,116 confirmed cases are reported in the country so far.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the recovery rate is improving and the recovery rate stood at 14.19 per cent today in morning.

According to the Govt. data more than 4,000 cases reported across India are linked to the congregation held in south Delhi's Nizammudin last month.

According to reports from the Home Ministry, the first week of May will see the peak of Covid-19 cases and after that the cases will decline.

The new cases and deaths numbers are increasing very fast worldwide. Till now more than 1.5 lakh people have died due to coronavirus infection. Worldwide this virus has infected more than 20 lakh people.

The coronavirus originated in China's Wuhan city in December. More than 20 lakh are infected. Currently the United States, Italy, Britain and other countries around the world.
