Rafale can easily take on China’s J20 Chengdu and emerge victorious over it all thanks to its superior features and combat experience.

On 29th July, the first batch of five Rafale jets was welcomed by the Indian Air Force (IAF) so as to further strengthen their defensive position amid constant threat from neighbors like China and Pakistan.

The planes landed in Ambala which lies at the northern part of Haryana. There was also close fitting surveillance on the roads that lead to airport’s base. Thus, police and army restricted travel on those particular roads. Photography and convocation of people were banned. No more than 4 people were allowed.

Defence Minister of India, Rajnath Singh tweeted "The birds have landed safely in Ambala. If anyone should be worried about or critical about this new capability ... it should be those who want to threaten our territorial integrity."

These fighter jets were flown by IAF pilots from Merignac in southwest France due to a deal worth $9.4bn deal that was struck back in 2016.

It is expected that all 36 Rafale jets will be delivered to the nation by 2022.

Rafale fighter jets has a height of 5.30 meter while its length is 15.30 meter and has a wing span of 10.90 meter.

The strongest point of these jets is its top speed which is calculated at 1.8 mach at high altitude.

It also features ferry range of 3,700km and its overall empty weight is 10 tonnes.

With all these features, Rafale can easily take on China’s J20 Chengdu and emerge victorious over it. With its internal fuel capacity lying at 4.7 tonnes and external capacity lying at 6.7 tonnes, Rafale is far superior when compared to J20 Chengdu and can also carry more weapons.

The fact that Rafale is battle tested as French army used this jet only for their missions in Libya, Mali and Afghanistan gives it another edge over J20 which has not been proven in battle yet.
