Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia back BJP government decision of scrapping of Article 370 and bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir. Congress is totally against this decision of scrapping of Article 370. Former Congress General Secretary from Uttar Pradesh Jyotiraditya Scindia backed BJP government decision by posting a message on his twitter account.

Jyotiraditya Scindia said that "this is in our country's interest and I support this".

He posted “I support the move on #JammuAndKashmir & #Ladakh and its full integration into union of India. Would have been better if constitutional process had been followed. No questions could have been raised then. Nevertheless, this is in our country’s interest and I support this.”, on this twitter account.

While Congress is criticizing the move, party veteran P Chidambaram termed this move as "black day in the constitutional history".

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi tweeted "National integration isn’t furthered by unilaterally tearing apart J&K, imprisoning elected representatives and violating our Constitution."

"This nation is made by its people, not plots of land. This abuse of executive power has grave implications for our national security," Rahul added.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the government decision to scrap Article 370 in Rajya Sabha on 5 August by an order saying “it shall come into force at once".

The bill to remove Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was passed in the Rajya Sabha yesterday while today in the Lok Sabha also 351 votes. This bill is passed by an overwhelming majority.
