The company also promised that its latest offering can last for 2 weeks straight on a single charge alone.

Xiomi’s sub brand Redmi has launched its first wearable in India. There appears to be a hype for this fitness band because Redmi has been known to provide durable, sturdy products for a reasonable price.

The smart band will have a 1.08 long colour LCD panel which makes it somewhat more attractive than the one equipped by Mi Band 4 (0.95inch AMOLED display). Redmi’s band is also capable of conducting a 24 hour long heart rate monitoring. From steps taken to calorie, both can be tracked by the smart band.

The device is 5ATM rated which basically means that the band is water resistant. Thus, the upcoming band are resistance to water to 50 metre in depth for 10 minutes. Therefore, even swimmers can make the most of this newest addition by Redmi.

The band can further help a user analyse his/her sleep quality. Up to 5 modes for professional sports are also housed by the band.

Another prominent feature offered by Redmi is raise to wake gesture feature. This ensures tapping on the screen just to view messages will no longer be necessary. Simply by raising the wrist, a user can read the message.

The company also promised that its latest offering can last for 2 weeks straight on a single charge alone. By packing a USB plug, the need of a custom charger is removed by the band.

Compatibility wise, the band can connect to both Android and iOS devices.

Black, blue, orange and green colours will be available with the band.

Redmi Smart Band is priced at Rs 1,599 and will go out on sale on 9th September. Interested customers can go to Amazon or Mi.com to buy the band via an e-commerce mode . The band can also be bought from offline vendors.
