Huawei has launched the world's first foldable PC called MateBook Fold Ultimate Design which comes with a high-quality pixel resolution screen. The device is sleek and only weighs 1.16kg. Huawei used a dual-layer OLED screen with 1600 nits HDR peak brightness. This PC is overall good with top specs.

The MateBook Fold is an ultimate foldable PC with a super sleek folding design and it can be as thin as a phone. This PC consists of a single OLED display which is just 7.3mm (~0.3 inches) thick when folded. When closed it becomes 14.9mm (~0.6 inches) when unfolded. So, this foldable PC is a really sleek foldable thinnest PC from the company. The design of this PC was earlier spotted by Android Headlines.

The MateBook Fold can be compared with the Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Fold, which measures 8.6mm (0.34 inches) thick when unfolded and 17.4mm (0.68 inches) thick when folded. We can see that the MateBook Fold is much thinner.

On the weight side, the MateBook Fold is 1.16Kg only and 7.3mm thick when fully opened. The cost of the MateBook Fold is around $3,300 in the China market. This PC is a little expensive for a general customer.

The screen of this PC uses the latest technology innovations, it comes with a dual-layer OLED screen with 1600 nits HDR peak brightness. This PC comes with the first commercial LTPO technology with adaptive refresh rate and low energy consumption. This PC measures 18 inches and comes with a resolution of 3.3k. Screen is HDR vivid and comes with the support for P3 wide color gamut.

This PC uses a powerful 285mm hinge, which is the largest in the industry. This hinge brings a 400% increase in the hovering torque and 100% increase in the load-bearing capacity. Huawei made this PC very strong with the use of industry standard parts.

Huawei stressed on the stable hinge design and said that it supports 0-20 degrees opening/closing operations. It also maintains the stability from 30 to 150 degrees while opening and closing operations. This angle provides even wider visibility as compared to the regular MateBook laptops.

Cooling of the system is very necessary and the company used diamond aluminum dual fans and an ultra-thin antigravity VC heat sink. All these help the PC in keeping itself cooled even at high load.

Design of the PC is very good and it uses leather and metal at the rear, which gives a premium look while making it water-resistant. On the back side this PC uses an integrated stand which helps in smooth opening and closing of the PC.

Company is using HarmonyOS which is fully supported by the Huawei ecosystem and there are HarmonyOS development tools for the application developers. This PC is also good for the developers as it comes with the HarmonyOS development tools. This PC comes with pre-installed WPS Office solutions and many other smart device features.
