
Rishab Shetty starrer Kantara Chapter 1 crossed Rs. 250 mark on day 3 worldwide beating Mirai, Sky Force. The film entered the 100 crore club in just 2 days making it the fastest earning movie and entered in the Rs. 200 crore family in just 3 days. The film is still performing very well in the box offices and is expected to earn a decent amount in the coming days.
The Rishab Shetty film managed to do well on Friday, which was a working day in India. It did well on Saturday and earned around Rs. 55 Crore. This weekend seems to be a bumper opening weekend for the film. In Karnataka and the rest of the country this film is running almost houseful shows. The movie is also doing well in the International market with decent earning shares.
Kantara Chapter 1 box office update
Day 1 collection for the Kantara Chapter 1 film was under ₹90 crore worldwide, so it did well on the opening day. The collections were high due to the Dussehra holiday in India.
The worldwide performance of the movie was also good and earned well. On the second day the collection was little less and it collected Rs. 45 crore net. So, in the Indian market total earning in 2 days was Rs 106.85 crore net and Rs. 128.25 crore gross. The film is now the highest-grossing Kannada film of the year.
Kantara Chapter 1 performed very well in the overseas market and earned over $2.5 million in its first two days. This added to overall earning to the movies and crossed over Rs. 151 crore in just 2 days.
This movie crossed over Rs. 250 crore mark on day 3 (Saturday). The Kantara Chapter 1 is expected to cross the Rs. 300 crore mark as early as Monday or Tuesday.
The original Kantara movie was written and directed by Rishab Shetty earned Rs. 400 crore worldwide on a budget of Rs. 15 Crore.
