The follow up model of Galaxy M01 may hit the Indian market very soon at a very reasonable price.
Samsung India Support page had mentions of the new Samsung Galaxy M01s which was listed via its model number that is SM-M017F/DS. Its name is also stated on the website as “Galaxy M01s (3GB RAM)” which indicates that the Koren tech giants may also offer RAM variant besides just a 3GB RAM model.
The ‘DS’ of its model number SM-M017F/DS of this pocket friendly smartphone also suggests that the device will offer its users a dual sim feature. Rumors also has it that besides 3GB, a 2GB variant will be offered to the consumers. The 2GB variant was also spotted in a Google Play Console Listing. Much of the details of this device like its availability and price is still unknown but its listing on Samsung’s support page suggest that the phone is set to hit the market pretty soon.
It is said that the phone will be powered by octa-core MediaTek MT6762 (Helio P22) SoC and its graphics will be handled by PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone will offer multiple RAM options out of which a 2GB and 3GB variant have been talked about.
Galaxy M01s will house a display of 720 x 1,520 pixels with pixel density of 280ppi. Its internal storage is said to be of 32GB and variants in terms of storage shall be made available too. The smartphone will pack a 4,000mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy M01s is the continuation of Galaxy M01 which is priced at Rs 8,999 and thus one can conclude that this latest model should be available under Rs 10,000 too.
