Delhi reported 10,665 Covid-19 cases today, which is a huge increase in the Covid-19 cases in the city along with the jump in the positivity percentage to 11.88.

Delhi reported 10,665 Covid-19 cases today, which is a huge increase in the Covid-19 cases in the city along with the jump in the positivity percentage to 11.88. Yesterday Delhi reported 5,481 cases and today new Covid-19 cases reported is 10,665, which is a 94% increase in the Covid-19cases in the city.

Delhi also reported 8 deaths, which is highest death in the city science June 26, 2021. Cumulative deaths due to Covid-19 increased to25,121 in Delhi. There is a spike in hospitalization in the city hospitals.

After the huge spike in the Covid-19 cases, there is speculation that the Aam Aadmi Party government might impose full lockdown in the national capital, but still there is no official announcement.

There is a spike in hospitalization as well, while total number of patients admitted to hospitals in Delhi increased to 782.

With 10,665 new Covid-19 cases, total cases in Delhiincreased to 14,74,366.

Due to the recent increase in the Covid-19 cases in Delhi, the weekend lockdown was already announced on Tuesday by Delhi Government. All the government officials have been asked to work from home till further notice.Private companies are allowed with 50% staff.

On Delhi buses and the Delhi metro allowed to operate withfull capacity, but wearing masks is mandatory for the travelers. This decision was taken to avoid long queues and overcrowding in the city.

In Delhi night curfew is already imposed between 10pm to5am. According to DDMA the weekend curfew will be imposed from Friday 10pm till Monday 5am. These restrictions are imposed to stop the further spread of thedeadly Covid-19 virus.

The Health Ministry identified many states as ‘state of concern, these states include Maharashtra, West Bengal, Delhi, Kerala, TamilNadu, Karnataka, Jharkhand, and Gujarat. From these states/UT’s new Covid-19cases is being reported and the new cases are rising day-by-day.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that his government is ready to handle up to one lakhCovid-19 cases per day. According to the officials, there are over 11,551patients in the home isolation.
