Just as Xiaomi’s Redmi 6A is being offered on purchase through flash sale on the Mi and Amazon India websites, the yet-to-be officially launched Redmi 6 Note Pro has been put up on the AliExpress listing with a tentative price in the range of $193.99- 214.99 ((Rs 14,100- 15,600 approx.). This price also covers bundled accessories such as headphones and Mi Band 3.
The listing also shares the specifications. The AliExpress listing presents the phone as ‘Global Version Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro’. This model, presented as the successor to Redmi Note 5 Pro, comes with a wait period of 60 days. Apparently the phone is being shipped to markets such as the US but it cannot be delivered to India as yet.
Redmi Note 6 Pro sports a metal body design, runs on the Snapdragon 636 processor, and is powered by a 4000mAh battery. It comes with a 6.28-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED display. The screen resolution is 1080×2160 pixels. The aspect ratio is 19:9.
The smartphone is said to have two variants: one with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, and the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The model is availablein four color options, viz. Black, Blue, Rose Gold, and Red.
Coming to the all-important camera, the specifications suggest a dual rear-dual front sensor set up. The rear set upoffers 12 MP+5MP along with LED flash module. The front camera sensors are said to be 20MP+2MP.
Like its predecessors Redmi Note 6 Pro supports connectivity via LTE, offers dual-SIM (Nano) slots, a micro USB 2.0 port. It also packs in a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. The dimensions are 157.9x76.38x8.2mm.
Given that this is not the official announcement, and since the smartphone is not yet available for purchase from India, a better approach would be to wait and watch. Similar exposures of the model have happened in the past too. However, the listing gives out hints of what is on the anvil.
