According to the Jon Prosser, an analyst and tech leaker, all the models of iPhone 12 will have 5G support but there are some caveats. According to Jon Prosser, the cheaper models (5.4-inch device and one of the 6.1-inch devices) won’t be supporting the mmWave 5G connectivity.

The mmWave 5G is one of the technologies of 5G which is offering higher speeds than the rival sub-6 technology. These days the sub-6 technology based 5G network is commonly used 5G network. So, for general user iPhone 12 models with lower price will be also a good option as it will have sub-6 technology based 5G network support.

The high end iPhone 12 model will have mmWave 5G based network connectivity and will be able to provide higher speed as compared to the lower cost iPhone 12 models.

In the United States the Verizon's 5G network is entirely based on the mmWave 5G technology and here higher iPhone 12 models will be useful. So, the customers in the United States will prefer top models of iPhone 12. Due to the use of mmWave 5G technology by Verizon's 5G network the cheaper model of iPhone 12 won’t work.
