In China, the Vivo Y74s was secretly launched. The new Vivo phone is identical to the Vivo Y76s that was released earlier this month in China. The phone has two rear cameras and a waterdrop-style display notch.


The Vivo Y74s has been quietly introduced in China. The new Vivo phone is the same as the Vivo Y76s, which was released in China earlier this month. The smartphone includes a waterdrop-style display notch and two rear cameras. The MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC is also used in the Vivo Y74s. Furthermore, the phone is available in two separate colour variants. The Vivo Y74s debuts just days before the Vivo Y65 5G, which is set to arrive in Malaysia on November 23. The forthcoming Vivo phone is expected to sport a design similar to the Vivo Y76s, but with additional features such as triple rear cameras to set it apart.

The Vivo Y74s is priced at CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs. 26,800) for the single 8GB + 256GB onboard storage configuration. The smartphone is presently available in Galaxy Blue and Starry Night Black on the Vivo China website. It has yet to be released in the country for purchase. The Vivo Y74s are yet to be announced in terms of global availability and cost.

Vivo Y76s was released in China earlier this month at CNY 1,799 (about Rs. 21,000) for the 8GB + 128GB storage model. A model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is also available for CNY 1,999. (roughly Rs. 23,300).

The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y74s runs on Android 11 with OriginOS 1.0 on top, just like the Vivo Y76s. The phone has a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,408 pixels) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.61 percent. The Vivo Y74s is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC and 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. A 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, as well as a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens, are included in the smartphone's dual rear camera configuration.

The Vivo Y74s includes an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.0 lens on the front for selfies and video chats.

The Vivo Y74s comes with 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage that can be expanded with a microSD card (up to 1TB). 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are among the connectivity choices. Accelerometer, ambient light, gyro, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors onboard. For biometric authentication, there's also a fingerprint sensor on the side.

Vivo has included a 4,100mAh battery with 44W Flash Charge quick-charging capability. The phone is 175 grammes and measures 163.84x75x7.79mm.

In China, the Vivo Y54s was also recently released. Under the hood, the new 5G smartphone has a MediaTek Dimensity 700 CPU and a waterdrop-style display notch. The phone boasts a dual-camera setup on the back. A 13-megapixel primary camera, 128GB of internal storage, and 18W rapid charging are among the other features of the Vivo Y54s. There are two colour options for the smartphone to pick from. The Vivo Y54s also supports reverse charging.
