Durand Cup opener between Pune FC and CRPF ends in draw

New Delhi (Rajesh Sharma)- The opening match of 125th edition of Durand cup played in Ambedkar Stadium here today between Pune Football Club and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) ended in a draw while HAL Bangalore is taking SCDE Goa in an exciting match.

The famous Durand Cup which is one of the oldest cup of the country kiicked off at Ambedkar Stadium in Delhil today.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit with Congress minister Ramakant Goswami and Lt-Gen. V.K. Pillai inaugurated one of the 125th Durand Cup., whch is played for Football.

Druing her speech on the inagural ceremony, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit expressed her pleasure here to inaugurate the one of the oldest Football cup of the country and wished all the participating teams and motivated them to play with true game spirit.

Earlier, Pune Football Club was to play against Army red which was than rescheduled and Pune FC had to play agains CRPF in the opening match of Durand Cup. The Final will be played on 1 September.

J.J.Lal Pilakhua is the captain of Pune Football Club where as Y.Prio is the skipper of CRPF team.
