The Odia actor Debu Bose died on Wednesday night, August 22. The Odia Film industry lost one of its gems with the demise of veteran actor Debu Bose. The actor was undergoing a treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He died at age of 75 years and had a great career in the regional film industry.
According to the regional publications, he was suffering from illness and had experienced two cardiac arrests in the past. He was admitted to hospital about four months back and for some time, he was even put on ventilator. The friends and the Ollywood fraternity expressed grief on the death of the most influential Odia actor and offered their condolences to the family.
He was one of the most talented actors who had acted in about 120 films extending over a career span of about four decades. Bose was born in 1942 and debuted in a film titled Tapasya that came out in 1980s. He not only made several appearances on Big Screen, but on television too. He became the favourite “father” of portraying the role quite often in his works.
Some of his most acclaimed movies include Pua Moro Kala Thakura, Ki Heba Sua Posile, Samay Kheluchhi Chaka Bhaunri, Suna Chadhei and Phula Chandana. His last performance was seen in Ollywood movie Rasta that released back in 2014.
Bose was also an expert in dancing apart from being an incredible actor. He was a choreographer, who received formal dance training from Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, a renowned dancer of Odisha. Moreover, Bose was also associated with theatre and had directed several plays during his tenure as an exponent of Diganta, a regional theatre group.
